Our team met again today for week 3 and I have to say I’m very excited to work together to create this project. I think all of the members in our group today were coming up with fun, innovative, and creative ideas for a project. That’s really all you can ask from team members- is for them to put their everything into what they’re brainstorming and creating. As long as we keep doing this and having good brainstorming sessions where everyone listens, as well as contributes, then I have no doubt it will be a good semester of creating content. Something in my mind that contributes the most to a team not being able to work together successfully is members not showing up and/or participating. We have to realize that the project outcome will be so much better if we all work together and show up, which is, I’m assuming, everyone’s goal. This week I contributed the idea of doing some sort of food challenge at a restaurant for our project. I think this would maintain our goal of keeping the project light-hearted and fun and also creates a chance for some great entertainment. We eventually came across an ice cream challenge located at eCreamery in Dundee. Moving forward we will be looking into making a trip down there for the chance to compete in the challenge and potential to win a t-shirt and picture in the hall of fame. We also are proposing the ideas of joining a kickball team/tournament or signing up for Corky Canvas- a painting class in Lincoln. Two potential obstacles for those two events would be getting enough people to make a kickball team and then for Corky Canvas the pricing may be an issue. More research/contacting the companies will be implemented so we can square away these obstacles.
