Week 5 Blog- Stella Sather

This week we got time to meet as a group and decide the tentative timeline we plan to follow for our project. We had originally planned to drive to Omaha and do all of the food challenges in one day. It was brought to our attention, however, that that could be a risk because if we don’t get good content we are out of luck. So, we are now planning on going to Omaha at the end of March. We are trying out one food challenge and seeing how it works and if it goes over well then we will have content to use and if it doesn’t work out then we still have time to get more footage and learn from our mistakes. As of now our plan is to do three different challenges and split up the challenges between people. So, for example, we will have two people do the ice cream challenge, two people do the breakfast challenge, and two people do the pizza challenge. One person will have to do two challenges but we discussed it and that doesn’t seem to be a dilemma. As far as how we are going to get the footage- I think our plan is to rent out equipment like a video camera from the lab. I know that Connor mentioned being a broadcasting major so I think he will bring valuable skills to the actual recording part of the project.
