During class this week, we discussed a plan on how to achieve the best outcome for our project. By instilling a set schedule, we will be able to research our topic thoroughly before attempting to capture any content. Starting next Thursday, we plan to meet at 7 pm to reach our weekly goals. Next Sunday, we are meeting to research food challenges by watching an episode of man vs food where will be able to identify what kind of equipment we want to use when filming. I can predict that it will include a video camera, a go pro, hopefully a 360 video while completing background of the establishment, and possibly a camera based on what we see in the episode. During our next Thursday meeting, we will plan out who will be participating in what challenge as two of us will be competing and the other three capturing content. After deciding, we will practice with the equipment to know exactly what to do some Saturday, which is shoot day. So far, we have not come across any equipment that we do not have a basic understanding of besides the 360 videos, however Connor was all for figuring it out so we can use that platform. As for a checklist, while meeting next Thursday, we will play with each equipment piece and create a document that shows a step by step on setup, so we are prepared when pulling it out to use it. We will also discuss who is most comfortable with what, so we are able to capture the best content.
I personally in class created the project schedule to ensure we stay on track with the assistance of my teammates. We were able to decide on our three locations for the challenges as well. The only challenge we faced was capturing all the content in one day but as a team, resolved it by moving the shoot day to the 29th of February, giving us opportunity to edit and review the film and if need be go back to Omaha in the months of March or April for reshooting.
