Week 6 Blog- Stella Sather

I presented an interactive website I found this week in class. I learned a lot about the different techniques you can incorporate with the computer mouse. The scrolling technique was my favorite. It’s a simple thing to implement into a website but yet has more interactive reach than you would think. There was also the hover option that was utilized to showcase different facts about furniture around the room. This component would be hard to use for a project, though, because the hover technique only reaches audiences that have computers, not phones. I also really appreciated the overall visual aesthetic, the webpage was pleasing to look at which help tell the story better. I will be intentional with considering what things from this website to bring to our website. We met with our group briefly at the end and confirmed that we will be meeting this Sunday night. We plan on watching an episode of Man vs. Food and then discussing a methodology of doing our project. We also quickly discussed how we want to set up our website since it will be mostly video. The struggle will be to put text and pictures on the website since there will be a lot more video, I’m anticipating.
