Week 14 Blog – Payton Vergin

This week my group did a practice presentation in front of the class, however I overslept my alarm and didn’t wake up. This was pretty irresponsible on my part and I feel awful that I put my group in that situation. I was informed that there were some technical errors that I must take care of since I am in charge of the website primarily. Also I was told that we received very helpful feedback from Alan and our peers. I am very anxious to meet with my group over Zoom in the next couple of days to further discuss how we are going to implement this feedback. We will also need to write a script for the final presentation. I didn’t even think about writing a script, so this was a really beneficial tip. A script will ensure that we present professionally, each have equal talking time, and do not have any stumbles/awkward silences. I guess we are also going to add that map that we had talked about previously. Prior to the practice presentation, we had decided that it may unnecessary but now we think it will be a key interactive piece for the website. Really what we have to do now to take our project to the next level is to add as much interactive components as we can. We have the content and we have the text. We just need that extra “ompf.”
