It is hard to believe that next week, we will be presenting our final projects that we have been working on all semester long. It feels like yesterday that we were filming our two episodes up in Omaha. Watching the other groups present has been somewhat eye opening as to what we still need to achieve on our project. Their stories were very well communicated, and their content was clear and interactive. Being the first to go, I feel like we came in unprepared and unrehearsed as for what to say. Other groups sounded a lot more professional and prepped, with scripts and a great flow to their presentation. This is definitely something we are working on and will need to have ready come Tuesday. In both what other groups did and things we still need to accomplish, the three other groups websites seemed much more interactive, so I would like to talk to my team about adding a few elements like slideshow pictures, or additional ideas they have.
This week, I spent time going through the critiques Alan provided from our practice presentation to better our website. I addressed the formatting issues with Payton, and she was able to go in and fix the errors we encountered. On my to-do list is adding the pictures for the dessert portion and creating captions for all the photos for more context. As a team, we are adding more typography to the website, and will work together to create and polish a script for the final presentation.
