Final Blog – Payton Vergin

Yesterday we presented our final project over Zoom to several JOMC instructors. Finally we got to show off all of our hard work. To prepare, we wrote a script and practiced several times prior to make sure it flowed well and that the timings were accurate. It clearly paid off as we received the compliment from our professors that we were “very well rehearsed.” I am so proud of how everything turned out and how we were able to put it together so well even amidst the pandemic. It really helped that we divided up the work and focused on what we were best at. I loved getting to design the website and being the primary formatter. I feel like I learned even more about web design through this project and I can’t wait to put my skills to use again somewhere else. Our group worked extremely well together and I would happily work with any of them in the future. If I could have done anything differently about the project, I would have completed another food challenge or two so we had more content. However considering the circumstances, I am happy with the footage we got. Before we got to submit our final website, I plan on making a few minor changes to the timeline graphic. Katie pointed out that it was difficult to navigate and I want that to be fixed before receiving our final grade.
